About the role

As a Civil Worker, you will join our Underground team in providing distribution network services to WEL including civil, installation and construction works.


  • Trenching and laying of underground utility services.
  • Controlling and managing civil site works, including traffic management.
  • Participating in a callout roster for 24hr fault response and repair.
  • Interpreting plans and managing site hazards.
  • Liaising with the control centre, dispatch and operations staff.

Skills and experience

  • Fit and able to cope with a physically demanding job.
  • Current digger and HT licence.
  • Demonstrate an uncompromising commitment to workplace health and safety
  • Experience of the electrical industry & Level 2 Electrical Supply qualification would be of benefit
