About the role
As a PMO Lead, reporting to the GM Commercial Engagement, you have the responsibility for developing and implementing WEL’s governance framework for project delivery across the business ensuring commercial acumen, through leading and governing the disciplines of project management and associated methodologies. This role will provide change management support and post-implementation reviews, and to provide the Executive team and Board with accurate and regular metrics and reporting on project quality, risk and status. You will:
Work with the business to ensure project governance reporting and processes are in place and coach stakeholders around the requirements and risks
Educate the organisation on the use of project documentation and processes
Maintain a benefits realisation framework and register and provide monthly reports on project benefits
Analyse financial data, including project budgets, risks and resource allocation
Work with the different departments to ensure business cases meet company requirements
We are looking for someone who has:
A Level 7 tertiary qualification in business or related field
A minimum of five years' experience in project management and in a commercial leadership role
Developed, implemented and maintained project methods and portfolio management practices and tools
Certification in Project Management Professional (PMP), P3M Prince2, Six Sigma, and Scrum frameworks would be an advantage
A positive, resilient outlook with extraordinary stakeholder management skills
Although not essential to this role, it would be really beneficial to us if you have electricity industry experience or have worked in another utility.
