Our Network Utilities Team consists of our Underground team of Cable Jointers and Civil workers, and our Network Survey Team of Distribution Network Surveyors, Network Asset Inspectors and Cable Locators.
Distribution Network Surveyors
What do we do?
Our Distribution Network Surveyors are responsible for ensuring that the asset information we hold consistently and accurately reflects the as-built status of our network assets.
In the Distribution Network Survey team we use Leica GPS equipment with tilt compensation to measure cables, conduits (Ducts) and ground mount assets.
We use Intergraph G/Technology software to draw in the cable/conduit lines from your field work.
We also work with Leica robotic total station to measure assets in areas where it’s not possible to GPS (For example near trees, near buildings, under canopies)
We liaise with civil and power contactors to arrange best time to survey the job site.
