About the role
This is a key role in a small HR team, responsible for our recruitment process and getting great talent into our organisation. You will have experience in working with managers to fill vacancies, writing position descriptions, advertisements and interviewing and selecting candidates. A strength in building relationships will help to effectively communicate and guide employees and managers through a great employee experience.
You will also be responsible for the management and delivery of our HR documentation as well as on-boarding and other HR processes.
This is a great team role and pitching in to help create and deliver HR and Organisational Development (OD) initiatives and programmes will be essential - enriching our team with your experience, recruitment and operational knowledge, creativity and positive attitude.
You will also be involved in supporting WEL’s Wellington-based subsidiary, NewPower NZ Ltd.

Because of the service-centred nature of this role, we will require you to work out of our Te Rapa office full time, however we offer loads of other flexibility options including flexible working hours, a 9-day fortnight and the ability to purchase additional annual leave.
