About the role
We have an exciting opportunity available for a Project Manager within our Overhead Projects team.
As a Project Manager, you will manage a wide range of projects critical to the electricity distribution network and WEL customers. To excel in this role, you will also be a self-motivated professional with excellent communication, organisational and negotiation skills, and a proven team player.
Responsibilities include:
- Manage the successful delivery of assigned projects – both small to large network maintenance, development and customer-driven projects
- Timely and accurate Progress and Financial Reporting
- Ensure projects achieve regulatory requirements and meet WEL standards
- Engagement and management of subcontractors
- Liaison with local authorities and other key stakeholders for the initiation and delivery of projects
- Apply your knowledge, experience, problem solving and decision-making skills
- Build and maintain effective networks and working relationships with key stakeholders
Skills and experience
We are looking for someone who has:
- At least 5 years’ experience in the delivery of capital and customer driven construction projects in the electricity industry
- Appropriate tertiary level technical qualification, ideally in project management
- Demonstrated knowledge of, and experience in, the electricity industry
- Commitment to health and safety that is second to none
- A focus on delivering exceptional customer service
