About the role
In this hands-on role, you’ll provide Line Mechanic services across overhead line repairs, maintenance, construction, fault response and switching operations. You’ll work closely with stakeholders to deliver safe, efficient and customer-focused outcomes across the network.
As a Line Mechanic, you will:
· Maintain 400V, 11kV and 33kV overhead lines and underground cables
· Construct new electrical reticulation in line with regulations, standards and policies
· Carry out high and low voltage switching safely, accurately and efficiently
· Fault find and reactively repair network outages
· Participate in our on-call faults roster and work unscheduled overtime when required
Skills and experience
· Current New Zealand Line Mechanic registration
· Electricity distribution industry knowledge and experience
· An uncompromising commitment to workplace safety
· Good communication skills
· Basic computer skills
